On 8/23, an email was sent to all Members asking them to review the proposed Bylaws and complete a questionnaire that was to be returned to the Board by 9/2. As of 9/2, the Board did not received any completed questionnaires from the community. The Board met on 9/8 and voted to extend the deadline to allow Members more time to review the proposed Bylaws and submit the questionnaires. The deadline was extended to 10/1/21.
The reason we're proposing to change the Bylaws and Declaration of Covenants is to make them more comprehensive, to provide more clarity on how to operate the HOA, and to develop clear standards for the community. Our current documents are very subjective and leave a lot of discretion to the Board. We'd like the governing documents to provide clear guidance on HOA operations and neighborhood standards so that all Members know what is expected and can avoid violations and fines. Our current Bylaws allow the Board to amend the documents without a vote of the community. However, the Board is asking all Members for their input. Please to take a moment to review the proposed Bylaws and complete the questionnaire. The Bylaws are an important governing document and we'd like to make sure everyone has the opportunity to provide input and feedback. Any feedback received will be considered in the final draft of the proposed Bylaws. We look forward to receiving your questionnaires and thank you in advance for your participation! As always, should there be any questions, please contact us via email at [email protected].
